Richard Fergola of Fergolicious BBQ tells us about the inaugural KC Barbecue Festival, a three-day celebration of Q. “Fergie” will serve as host and emcee throughout the weekend and while we have him, we find out what’s new with Fergolicious and the KC Grilling Company.
We also check in with Jerry Aguilar from Burnin’ and Lootin’ BBQ, the 2019 California BBQ Association Team of the Year. As KCBS competitions continue to lag in California, Jerry and wife Lupe have enjoyed getting their grill on in Steak Cookoff Association events, while making plans for The American Royal this fall in Kansas City. Jerry’s best category in KCBS is chicken and you might be surprised by how many chicken thighs he cooks at a comp.
