On Episode 21 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Show, we talk to BBQ Hall of Famer and five-time Memphis in May Grand Champion Chris Lilly of Big Bob Gibson’s BBQ out of Decatur, Alabama.
Not only is he one of the best to ever light a pit, Chris is absolutely one of the best people in BBQ and it was a pleasure to have him on. Chris tells us about his most recent Memphis in May - where he was a razor-close runner-up to his friend Tuffy Stone's Cool Smoke - along with his busy schedule promoting ‘Q,’ his love for baseball and some basics of what to look for when shopping for Smithfield pork.
Our “Under the Radar” segment returns as we find out about “Two Krackers Kookin’ BBQ” with pitmaster Nathan Hudson. And the guys review the recent “Smoke at the Barn” where Steve knocked it out of the park in the SCA Steak Competition, earning a Golden Ticket to the SCA World Championships later this year.
