We head into the long July 4th holiday weekend with a bang on Episode 217 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Podcast. Leading off is a conversation with Christie Vanover, whose website GirlsCanGrill.com is one of the top sources for BBQ information including recipes, instructional videos, product reviews and much more. Christie also is a champion pitmaster and recently achieving a Grand Championship and her first career KCBS 700. She also is one of the contestants on Season 4 of the Food Network show BBQ Brawl - with mentors Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Sunny Anderson - which debuts July 10.
We also check in with Richard Fergola of Proud Souls BBQ & Provisions Kansas City and get the lowdown on all things Proud Souls and the latest from Fergolicious BBQ. Much like his schedule, there’s no pumping the brakes on the enthusiasm meter with “Fergie” and it’s always fun to catch up with him as he hints about a huge public event that the Proud Souls team will play host to this fall at the American Royal World Series of BBQ.
